With the help of a fake website, an embellished CV, and some misleading photos, Gregoire hoaxed his way from being an unfit amateur player to convincing top clubs he was a rising star. The ruse worked so well that he was only hours away from being signed by a team in the Champions League, when football fans spotted that something was very wrong. In one night, his lies started to unravel, and his life’s ambitions came tumbling down. In a series of candid interviews, Fakes, Frauds & Scammers relives some of the most audacious scams and fraudulent stunts of our time from the mouths of the perpetrators themselves.
